Above & Beyond
Community Service
Thank you for thinking of Marin Humane to fulfill your Community Service hours for school. Here are three ways you can help Marin Humane and complete your requirement.
- Complete an independent project to help the animals at Marin Humane and in our community. Check out the Compassion In Action page for information on independent projects. Contact education@ marinhumane.org to share your ideas and get information on what’s currently needed. Our wish list also has some ideas. Your photo and project can be featured on our website after you complete your project! All we need is a photo and photo waiver form.
- Join one of our Student Service Clubs. These clubs bring students to our campus to give them a forum to help animals and support our mission. The clubs are a semester long and require an application, activity fee ($50), and training. Each club has 12 members per semester and meets every other week. If necessary, a lottery is used to choose members. Applications are available in December and August for the following semester.
- Students 15 years of age and older and who have completed a Student Service club can apply for student volunteer opportunities at the shelter. If you are 18 years of age visit our volunteer page for opportunities.
Note: All other volunteer opportunities are for adults 18 years and older.
Thank you for wanting to be a part of our important work on behalf of animals. Please reach out if you have any questions!
