Greetings Volunteers! We're officially in pumpkin spice season so you wouldn't think we'd still be getting itty bitty kittens here at the shelter, but we are! It seems like kitten season isn't ending any time soon, so if you feel so inclined, we'd love your help stocking up on kitten food from our wish list. The wet food is especially helpful for these young litters and we're so grateful for our community's support! Check out our wish list here. Thank you! Greetings Volunteers! Do you ever watch a video on social media or one sent from a friend and it just makes you smile? Well, "The Great Goat Escape in Corte Madera" was one that did just that for me and was also a big hit with staff when it was circulated last week. Smiles are contagious so, in that spirit, I thought I'd share it with you (in case you haven't already seen it!). I definitely recommend playing it with the sound on. You're welcome! Shelter update: We currently have 273 animals in our collective care. 194 [...]

Greetings Volunteers! Last Friday evening, I had the honor of going to the Hayward Airport with a few other staff to meet the airlift from the Maui Humane Society. These dogs and cats were already available for adoption at the time of the fire and were arriving in the Bay Area in search of forever homes. By taking in these animals, we’re also helping Maui Humane Society create space to care for the huge influx of animals displaced by the fires. This collaborative effort would not be possible without a commitment to animal welfare in Marin, [...]
