About the animal:
Bosco is a sweet, wonderful, affectionate dog. We’re only rehoming him because we just can’t provide the environment he needs to thrive. While Bosco has NEVER shown any aggression towards others (human or otherwise), he gets very attention-needy and anxious when we are focused on our 2 year-old child. When our toddler is out of the house, he relaxes immensely and is mostly a couch potato. We have a second child on the way, and we think adding another baby into the mix is only going to make things harder for him.
He sometimes pees a little when overly excited, but we think that’s partially due to being overwhelmed with our toddler. In the right home, we suspect that would just resolve itself.
Bosco regularly goes to the dog park and daycare and interacts very well with dogs of all shapes and sizes. He is happy to endlessly run laps with other dogs, or to wrestle in the dirt with them. He has no experience with cats.
We think he’d probably do well in any home where someone is around more time than not (or where he can go to daycare so he’s not alone for too long, too frequently). He doesn’t like to be crated when we leave, but does fine when left free in the house.
Bosco is eager to please, very food-motivated, and very affectionate. We believe that Bosco would be the perfect companion in a home without very young children.
