Now that we're in the midst of an end of summer heat wave, please stay hydrated when you're coming to volunteer at the shelter, Kitty Corner, Thrift Shop, or the Hopalong Foster office. Shelter update: We currently have 309 animals in our collective care. 141 are at our Novato campus, including 23 dogs, 4 puppies, 58 cats, 30 kittens, 4 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs, 6 rodents, 4 reptiles, 4 birds, and 6 fowl. Hello Volunteers, Last week our Pet Safety Net program held a pop-up clinic outside Sprouts Farmers Market in San Rafael, serving unhoused and low-income folks in need of support for their dogs and cats. Our team joined forces with Dr. Bennett of San Marin Animal Hospital to provide vaccines, microchips, dewormer, flea/tick control, food, leashes, and other supplies to people and pets in the community.
