Not every animal who comes to Marin Humane is found as a stray. Sometimes, animals are surrendered by their former owners due to a variety of reasons – perhaps a change in health, financial circumstances, or living situations. That was the case for Estrella, a sweet 4-year-old rabbit whose owner moved to a new home that did not allow pets. King arrived at Marin Humane when his former owners had a change in living circumstances and could no longer take care of him. He was very attached to his family at the time, and the poor guy was so sad when he had to say “goodbye”. Two-year-old Orin was hanging around a local ranger station for a month before he was trapped and brought to Marin Humane. He had been fighting with the cat who lived at the station and was thought to be semi-feral.
