I adopted Jax, formally Sam, from the Marin Humane Society one and a half years ago. I’ve always known I was a dog person, but I didn’t know how much having a dog would change my life. Jax has saved my life in so many ways. He has given me the confidence to make choices in my life that I wouldn’t have been able to make otherwise.

Not long after I adopted him, it became very clear to me that Jax was an exceptional dog. He has more patience and love than I have ever seen in a dog. I recently got him licensed  as a therapy dog and have been taking him with me to my preschool classroom. It takes a special kind of patience to walk into a classroom of 30 two-to-five year olds. Jax shines in the classroom and has a way of knowing which kids need some special doggy love.

Sincerely,
Emma James
