This is a temporary arrangement beginning April 1 while a long-term provider transition is completed. Updates will be posted on this page as more information becomes available, but we anticipate being there for six to eight weeks.

To support continuity during this transition, Marin Humane offered temporary positions to existing Petaluma animal services staff. We’re pleased that a number of team members accepted and are continuing to serve their community! Marin Humane staff are also on site to provide additional support during this period.

Thank you for fostering! Please email kfennell@marinhumane.org for next steps.

Most adoption animals were transferred to trusted partner shelters and rescues in the Bay Area. Others will be transferred into Marin Humane’s adoption program, based out of its Novato shelter. Animals not available for adoption will be cared for at the Hopper Street location, including receiving any needed veterinary care.

Thank you for your generous spirit! Currently, Marin Humane is able to provide for the animals on site; however, if you’d like to make a contribution, click here to make a gift.
