We’re inspired by the young animal lovers in our community!
Whether it’s donating the proceeds from a lemonade stand, bake sale, or other student organized fundraiser, we’re grateful to these young animal advocates and applaud their generosity on behalf of the animals. Take a look at who’s made valuable contributions to Marin Humane.
If you’re a student and would like to do a special project that benefits the shelter animals, please contact our Youth Programs Coordinator by email or call 415.506.6288. We can guide you to a project that will benefit the animals and if you need community service hours how your work translates into hours.
You can collect items from our Wish List, coordinate a pet food drive for our Pet Care Assistance program, or organize a fundraising event (bake sale, car wash, lemonade stand) and donate the proceeds to Marin Humane. Another idea is to ask that in lieu of gifts for your birthday or holiday, donations be made to the animals in your honor!
Sweet Treats for the Animals
It warms our hearts to see animal lovers of all ages supporting the shelter animals! Meadow is just 4 years old and she decided to sell cinnamon rolls and lemonade to raise money for Marin Humane. She and her friend raised $25 and generously donated it to help our animals. Thank you so much, Meadow!
Sharing the Love
Ishaan recently celebrated a birthday and instead of gifts, he asked his friends and family to contribute money for a donation to Marin Humane - and he raised $175 for the shelter! You might recognize Ishaan from the cover of our magazine, Lives Made Happy. He and his guinea pig were the cover stars of our latest issue! He wanted to visit with a rabbit during his visit so we made sure he got some special bunny cuddles. Thank you, Ishaan, for your generous heart! ❤
Community Collection for Cats (and all animals) of Marin Humane!
Siana completed a school project earlier this summer and raised funds for the shelter animals! She gathered donations from her local community and was able to bring $80.05 to support the animals here at Marin Humane. When she dropped off her generous donation, she got to hang out with Misha. She's a cat lover, for sure! Thank you for supporting the shelter!
Keepin’ it Cool for the Animals
Myla and Remi's family had a lemonade stand to raise money for the animals at Marin Humane. They raised $38 on a warm summer day! Blue the kitten and the rest of us at Marin Humane say thank you so much!!

Kaelyn and Aimee are 2025 summer campers and were inspired to hold a bake sale to raise funds to help the animals at Marin Humane. Thank you Kaelyn and Aimee for turning your passion into action!
Coins for Critters
After hearing how Marin Humane teamed up with shelters in the Los Angeles area to help families and animals affected by the fires, the students of San Ramon Elementary held a penny drive and raised $1,339.68 to help the animals of Marin Humane! Thank you to all the students for your generosity, kindness, and compassion.
