Get Involved

We’re inspired by the young animal lovers in our community!

Whether it’s donating the proceeds from a lemonade stand, bake sale, or other student organized fundraiser, we’re grateful to these young animal advocates and applaud their generosity on behalf of the animals. Take a look at who’s made valuable contributions to Marin Humane.

If you’re a student and would like to do a special project that benefits the shelter animals, please contact our Youth Programs Coordinator by email or call 415.506.6288. We can guide you to a project that will benefit the animals and if you need community service hours how your work translates into hours.

You can collect items from our Wish List, coordinate a pet food drive for our Pet Care Assistance program, or organize a fundraising event (bake sale, car wash, lemonade stand) and donate the proceeds to Marin Humane. Another idea is to ask that in lieu of gifts for your birthday or holiday, donations be made to the animals in your honor!

Paying it Forward

When Olivia and Bridget had to say goodbye to their beloved family dog, Dax, of 14 years, they opened their hearts to give back. They decided to donate Dax's Christmas gifts of toys, treats, and homemade snuggle blankets to the dogs still awaiting loving homes at Marin Humane. What a wonderful way to honor their beloved four-legged friend. Thank you Olivia and Bridget for thinking of the animals at Marin Humane during such a difficult and emotional time for your family.

Holiday Pet Food Drive Hero

We're so impressed by the generous kids in our community! Charlotte here gathered supplies for our Holiday Pet Food Drive, along with the help of her family and teacher, and dropped off a huge cart full of much-needed food. 🙌 Every donation helps us support low-income pet guardians here in Marin, allowing them to keep their beloved pets at home. Charlotte, thank you so much for thinking of pets and people in need this season! ❤ If you'd like to support the crucial work of our Pet Safety Net program, you can make a gift here:

The Amazing Towel Hero

After a visit to her school from our Youth Program Coordinator, Elle was inspired to collect towels for the animals at Marin Humane. But that isn't even the best part. Not only did Elle collect towels to donate, but she also included hand-written and decorated love notes to each animal that will be receiving the towels. Thank you Elle for your thoughtfulness, compassion, and generosity!

Compassion in Action at Any Age!

These lovely ladies have a knitting club where they take the time to knit various items for non-profits. For Marin Humane they made some oh so cozy cat beds. Thank you to this wonderful group of friends for sharing their love of knitting with all the cats at Marin Humane and for demonstrating compassion in action at any age!
