Greetings volunteers,
Today is the beginning of National Volunteer Appreciation Week. Hooray for YOU!
While we haven’t been able to celebrate with you over the past year, we think of you every day, and remain grateful for your ongoing support, for staying in touch, and for your patience.
There is something truly special about Marin Humane volunteers. You’ve got big hearts, many talents, and care deeply about the animals and people we serve. Your service contributes to the greater good of the community.
You continue to inspire us and each other every day. From Dr. Seuss to Martin Luther King, we too feel our volunteers are revered:
“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”– Dr. Seuss
“Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”– Martin Luther King, Jr.
Thank you from our hearts to yours!
Anne and Candace
