Donations are accepted daily from 11:00am to 2:30pm, however, due to space limitations, we may be selective in what we can accept. Please call us first at 415.459.5787 to discuss your donations before coming by with your items.

In 1961, the Marin Humane Society Auxiliary opened the Thrift Shop in downtown San Anselmo. The Thrift Shop’s success was key to the construction and operation of the first subsidized spay and neuter clinic in California, which opened at Marin Humane’s Novato campus in 1973.
Today, the Thrift Shop offers a range of merchandise, including clothes, kitchenware, books, handmade cards, and collectibles. Proceeds from the store continue to support the operation of Marin Humane’s veterinary clinic, totaling more than $100,000 in gross sales for fiscal year 2021-2022!
