Oh Behave

Stranger Danger

Human-directed aggression can stem from many sources, including fear, resource guarding, territorial tendencies, pain, and frustration. It may include barking, growling, lunging, baring teeth, or biting. The setting can influence the dog’s behavior considerably, whether in a tight or open space, on or off leash, or in the presence of other elements like noise, food, or surprise. The “threat” may be reasonable or not, but to your dog it’s very real.

We can help you sort through the origin of the behavior, suggest management steps to take, and teach you how to train a better response.
