About the animal:
Foxy Brown is an 11 year old Pomeranian. Ten of those years have been with us and we love her very much. Since the arrival of our baby, Foxy has had a very difficult time adjusting to not being an “only child” anymore. After working with a dog behaviorist for some time, we came to the tough decision to lovingly rehome our sweet girl.
Now a bit about Foxy.. She has a spunky personality and enjoys being the center of attention. She enjoys sleeping most of her days and going on walks. She has no major health issues, but due to her age she has had a lot of her teeth pulled resulting in her needing to eat soft food. She is potty trained and crate trained. She likes sleeping in her bed during the day and in her Kennel at night. She is a grazer and eats throughout the day if you set her food out for her. She likes going out twice a day to go to the bathroom or roam around the backyard. She usually only barks to alert when someone or something approaches our home. She does have a history of leash aggression but has gotten better over the years. She likes to play catch but does not really bring objects back 🙂 She is a dog that will need to be on a leash whenever out in public due to poor recall and easily startled. Many of Foxy’s challenges come around when she is sleeping or resting. She can be aggressive (growl, show her teeth, fake bite or bite, lunge towards someone) when woken or perceived someone is too close to her when resting. In the past, she has been aggressive towards groomers resulting in us completing simple hygiene cuts at home. When not asleep she enjoys being pet by her owner and she enjoys being around other people (in small numbers 1-2) but unfortunately we would not recommend around small children. If you have read to this point and think your home may be a good one for Foxy, please reach out to us… we’d love to chat. We love her and we want the best for her.
