“Your volunteers were amazing!,” said not one, not two, but more than a half dozen staff about all of you who helped us at the 2018 Marin Humane Gala!
To the afternoon set-up team – bravo for getting the dining room and reception room set-up in record time. Both rooms looked beautiful! And special shout-out to the ladies who organized the silent auction table displays. We re-introduced the silent auction this year and it was a big hit with our guests.
To the evening volunteers – hip hip hooray for greeting and checking-in our guests; handling the puppies and kittens for their “photo op” with guests; managing the coat check; sharing your wonderful ambassador dogs; modeling the bracelet & selling raffle tickets; enthusiastically running the Wine Toss Game; explaining the “Bid on a Star” at the silent auction; recording the bids during the live auction; cleaning up; and … everything in between!
You all came out to the eastern tip of Marin and worked tirelessly in good cheer. We so appreciate each and everyone one of you … and thank you for your dedication to ensure this was a beautiful, smooth-running, and successful fundraising event.
We simply could not have done it without you!

P.S. Drum roll please … on March 10th, more than 300 people came together for Gala 2018 and raised a record $358,475! This includes nearly $190,000 for our Fund-a-Need that will enable us to launch Marin Humane’s Pet Safety Net initiative to support pets loved by low income people of all ages.
Thank you all volunteers for ALL you do – at special events, at the Novato campus, at Kitty Corner, at the Thrift Shop, and out in the community! You are helping transform lives every day!
